<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5FH3Mx7-eOg/Uqnx273rnFI/AAAAAAAAAcY/0pQUNR_BG9I/s1600/coins.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5FH3Mx7-eOg/Uqnx273rnFI/AAAAAAAAAcY/0pQUNR_BG9I/s320/coins.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
With the economy in shambles, a United States dollar isn't worth the toilet paper you wipe your ass with. So, what happens when a new currency shows up, especially when one of them is worth a little over $800 in USD? This new currency is called bitcoin. The questions are what a bitcoin is, what makes them different, how they are generated, and why the banks and governments essentially hate them. Open-source currency sounds a bit sketchy; however, one shouldn't judge a book by its cover. A bitcoin may have its disadvantages, but there are also many advantages. These advantages really don’t make it seem all that bad. If nothing else, the bitcoin may be a good thing.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lW8eYctfa8s/UqnyF6M_DaI/AAAAAAAAAcg/osEL3bquO_c/s1600/bitcoin-half.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lW8eYctfa8s/UqnyF6M_DaI/AAAAAAAAAcg/osEL3bquO_c/s200/bitcoin-half.png" width="200" /></a>First line of business is finding out exactly what a bitcoin is. A bitcoin is digital currency. It is an alternative to other world currencies like to dollar and euro. Another thing it is anonymous. It is not real money, but virtual token. A dollar has a serial number on it, but a bitcoin doesn't. One particular bitcoin has no attachment to one person. This new found currency is not regulated. Since there is no “owner” so to speak, there is no Federal Reserve or anything like it. A bitcoin can also be converted into real money. A bitcoin in 2011 was worth $7.50, however when I just checked one bitcoin was worth $878.70. However, like any other economic system it could crash and be worth nothing. Leaving what “virtual millionaires” there are with virtually nothing.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KJThK143y0o/UqnzOwIWXFI/AAAAAAAAAc8/PtmLcKhK-tE/s1600/bitcoin-send-payment.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="234" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KJThK143y0o/UqnzOwIWXFI/AAAAAAAAAc8/PtmLcKhK-tE/s400/bitcoin-send-payment.png" width="400" /></a></div>
There are numbers of things that make the bitcoin different from any other currency. One of the biggest advantages is how quickly one can transfer money. If a friend needs to borrow some money, one would have to transfer money from their account at one bank to the friends account at another bank. Then the friend would have to proceed to withdraw the money. There is not a bank to have to wait on. Bitcoin is a P2P system, and it goes straight from one account to the other. Bitcoin is also made by the user. They are not backed up by anything, but they are generated. The process is called mining, which will get more in detail later on. With every good thing there is a bad thing though. Bitcoin is not widely accepted yet. This can put a damper on things, as if one cannot use it for their favorite products what is the point?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LcVTLybFV_c/Uqnz-iR2FmI/AAAAAAAAAdI/RNxB1OOih2Q/s1600/bitcoinminer.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LcVTLybFV_c/Uqnz-iR2FmI/AAAAAAAAAdI/RNxB1OOih2Q/s200/bitcoinminer.png" width="181" /></a></div>
Since bitcoins are generated, or mined, how does it work? Most people who use bitcoins do not mine them. There are two reasons why one would want to mine bitcoins, if one can do it very well and gain a profit, or if it is done for fun and not intention of a profit. To mine bitcoins there is hardware required. When all of this first started all you needed to mine was a CPU. This is no longer a way to mine though. Even if mined for a long period of time, the earnings probably won’t even be one coin. If one were to use a high end graphics card to mine they might see some better results. Any GPU can be used; the AMD GPU’s are much more efficient. There is other hardware you can use to mine as well. However, some software is required as well. One can mine on their own or join a pool. It is more common to mine in a pool because it removes the luck needed. Before joining a pool, one needs a bitcoin wallet to keep earnings. The next thing needed is joining a pool. In a pool, the profits get divided up between members based on computing power contributed. Mining alone is also an option; however, the payouts are large but rare.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-eO5uhODYkFo/UqnzKTt_GwI/AAAAAAAAAc4/hvOzy_Khqag/s1600/magt.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-eO5uhODYkFo/UqnzKTt_GwI/AAAAAAAAAc4/hvOzy_Khqag/s400/magt.jpg" width="278" /></a>Not everyone shares a love for bitcoin either. The banks hate them. This is because they are simply threatened by them. In November there were reports of United States banks like Wells Fargo, J.P. Morgan Chase, Bank of America, and Citibank stating that they were closing the accounts or not accepting applications from those businesses that are associated with digital currency. Robobank have taken this to another level though. The bank cancelled 99% of transactions with bitcoin exchange. This is not a new thing that the bank has been doing either not just for individuals but for businesses as well. Why are bitcoins so hated by the banks though? Bitcoins show a real threat to financial systems. They are worried about something else taking over.<br />
<br />
The government also is not a fan of bitcoin, but if the government hates it should be worth at least taking a good look at. The governments hate it because they do not have control of it. All they can do is possibly interfere with bitcoin. They could shut down the websites that deal with and in bitcoins. Even if they did try it the websites can be recreated and hidden relatively easy. Some governments could outlaw anyone from accepting bitcoins. This will not happen in the United States though unless our rights are completely infringed upon. As long as there a few host somewhere in the world bitcoin cannot but turned off. As we have all figured out, the government hates anything that it does not have control of. It only makes since for them to hate bitcoin.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vyY1m9eYYLc/Uqn0f7b76AI/AAAAAAAAAdQ/Vo1-TnzouFU/s1600/bitcoin-logo.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="82" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vyY1m9eYYLc/Uqn0f7b76AI/AAAAAAAAAdQ/Vo1-TnzouFU/s400/bitcoin-logo.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Bitcoin may or may not be the currency that shuts down near to all of the financial institution. Regardless it is interesting in itself. After answering the prime questions of what a bitcoin is, why it is different, how they are created, and why the banks and governments hate them. This open source money, but it sounds awesome. If nothing else fun to mine!

<div style="background-color: white; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19.1875px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-top: 0.4em;">
Feedly is a place where you can dump all of you favorite online news sources into one place. The closing of Google Reader put Feedly where it is today. They report 500,000 new users in two days after the closure. Threre are extensions available in Chrome and Mozilla. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sBA_u8JXAkI/Uo2QVlrAdWI/AAAAAAAAAYQ/4BNjO7V8d0k/s1600/feedly.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="251" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sBA_u8JXAkI/Uo2QVlrAdWI/AAAAAAAAAYQ/4BNjO7V8d0k/s400/feedly.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have been using Feedly in the past few weeks for my weekly article summaries, and it really does help. Instead of look through a bunch of websites for something to write about, I can put them all in one spot until I find something I feel like reading. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There is also an iOS app and Android app. I haven't used either of them, but below is an example of what both look like. The left is iOS and the right is Android. They both look nearly the same and probably have similar interface, if I were guessing.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Feedly is the most popular RSS feed available. It would be my number one choice.</div>

This is supposed to be a mini blog, but I dont know how well that will work out for me. As I am reading and looking, I just can't really look away. No matter how much I want to.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AMXqiDitYys/Uo2FPCtgMcI/AAAAAAAAAXw/KdU7nqzWOAw/s1600/darknet+and+tor.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="189" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AMXqiDitYys/Uo2FPCtgMcI/AAAAAAAAAXw/KdU7nqzWOAw/s200/darknet+and+tor.jpg" width="200" /></a>The Dark Net is pretty much the nighttime internet. A network of sites that can't be seen on the internet we use. They are normal servers, but you need software that makes you anonymous. With said software, you have access to drugs, guns, and pedophile rings. Who uses the Darknet? Well, the same people you would expect creeping around a dark and foggy night. We can all have something to gain from the Darknet though. Whether we want to admit it, everyone has a few skeletons in their closet.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--3vXjKjXu3A/Uo2KaM3Y7-I/AAAAAAAAAYA/mPD-JysvHhs/s1600/tor.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="120" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--3vXjKjXu3A/Uo2KaM3Y7-I/AAAAAAAAAYA/mPD-JysvHhs/s200/tor.png" width="200" /></a></div>
I am not going to lie, after read more and more. I wanted to visit the dark side. So I downloaded Tor. Tor was created for the U.S. Navy. Its use would have be to protect the government. Now, Tor is used by everyday people, criminals, cops, businesses, and many others. The country nor IP address shows your location. <br />
<br />
The Silk Road was taken down and back up in a little over one month. Now the Silk Road 2.0. I just want to take the time to say that I am amazed. The drugs that are sold on this website blows my mind. I do some online shopping from time to time. However, never did I dream people shopped for drugs online. LSD, molly, meth, ATM hacks, a hitman, you name it you can buy it. It all isn't completely illegal though. They sell things like hard drives and other random things.<br />
<br />

<br />
Of course life isn't as simple as it once was when anyone could grab Limewire and download whatever tracks they want. Ah, those were the days. While it is still possible, it is a little more difficult. That isn't the point those. Online radios, I love them. The only effort I have to make is deciding what I want to listen to. The options are unlimited, and it is beautiful.<br />
<br />

Some people like it, others don't. It has some good features. The one thing I really like about it is I type in a band I like, and the station plays a song and I am like F@#!, I forgot about this song! I do use Pandora because it is what is on my Blu Ray. Like the song to the right, I am listening to Matchbox 20 radio. I haven't heard that song in forever, and I am thoroughly enjoying it as I type. Another great thing is that a lot of the songs have lyrics with them, about the band, and similar artists. Pandora has a really simple user interface. My 3 year old cousin could use it if he were able to read and write or type. Good and bad go together like Thanksgiving and pumpkin pie though. The ads are obnoxiously annoying, and constant. Your music also quits playing if you aren't active on the website. The only way to get around it is upgrading to Pandora One for $36 a year. Who wants to pay for their music though?</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The first profoundly annoying thing that I found about spotify was that you <b>HAD </b>to log in before listening to any music. The second annoying thing is that it wouldn't let me log in with Facebook. I am currently not a big fan. </div>

As The Beatles said, "It is getting better all the time." The first thing I noticed, well I guess you couldn't help but notice, is it gives me suggestions of what is popular in my area, and on spotify. This could be good, I like hearing new things. Maybe this isn't going to be so bad after all. I choose to listen to OneRepublic. A sidebar popped up from the right with the music player. I like that that there is a desktop version available. There is a desktop version as well, and it is free. That is something that could be convenient. Pandora only offers a desktop version with its paid service. It almost puts me in the mind of iTunes. I didn't download it just because my computer doesn't need any more stuff on it. Spotify has some potential. </div>

I love Slacker! I think I may have had it on my BlackBerry before I regrettably ditch it a few years ago. Regardless, for this blog post, I am going the first play list I see, I will probably regret that. Top 40 it is though. When I go to Slacker I feel like there is something for anything that I am doing. Whether it is driving, cleaning, doing homework, ect. It almost reminds me of XM radio. Because of the different categories show like ESPN, CBS, genres, and specials. XM radio was my thing until I got a job and became to cheap for it.</div>

Right now I am playing catch up, so I definitely do not want anything to wind me down. So I am going to choice hump day, just because I am trying so hard to make it to my day off Sunday. Hump Day provided me with a list of options including Nasty Hip Hop, Down and Dirty Rock, Siren Songs, Freak Me, and One-Night Stands. Interesting, to say the least. Dirty Hip Hop it is. I did check out the Siren Songs first, but I had no clue what any of it was. I do have to say, it isn't all that bad. I don't particularly Luv Dem Strippers like the song below, but I am feeling Slacker Radio.</div>

Grooveshark, I am not that big of a fan. You get unlimited skips which is kinda cool. You also get to add songs to a queue. However, when I want to listen to some in particular I go to youtube and play it. So I want to move on to the broadcasts. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If I were going to use Grooveshark, the only way would be to use the broadcasts. You essentially pick what you wanna listen to base on the genres and choose a broadcast. Its pretty easy to use. I dont really like the way it looks. It reminds me of something that would be on Facebook. There isn't anything really fancy about it. Its just looks like it is lacking.</div>

<br />
Facebook, Myspace, and Google+, what is the difference? Essentially, I think all social media sites suck just because no one can use them without acting like fools. They want to argue back and forth and post everything from their shit, shower, and shave. However, if it were a perfect world, all of these sites have some good and bad features. I plan to pick those apart.<br />

Everyone knows Facebook, and the love/hate relationship associated with it. It does have it's ups and downs. Eh, against my better judgement, we will look at a few of them.</div>
<h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Pro's:</div>
</h3>
<div>
Facebook allows people to communicate freely in which one may not feel comfortable speaking in a face-to-face conversation. It makes it easier to express how you feel even if you are hiding behind a computer screen. I guess in a sense it gives you a confidence you wouldn't have otherwise. It also allows you to connect with people you wouldn't be able to communicate with on a daily bases otherwise. I have family that lives in Florida and in Arizona. It is nice to see what they are up to, and pictures of them and their children. Facebook also isn't very hard. Anyone can use it.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
When one gets on Facebook do they simply just check their messages and then leave? I know anytime that I do that is typically not all I do. I end up looking through my news feed for the things that idiots have posted. Next thing I know I have wasted an hour of my life that I will never get back. That I should be using writing my blogs that I am so far behind on. Another thing that isn't very appealing is all the information Facebook asks for. If you have read my last blog about social media then you will get a gist of what I mean. One more thing that bothers me is that, if the only way you can express yourself is behind a computer screen, you are going to have some issues later on in life. One has to be able to speak openly at some point in their lifetime. That public speaking class might be the only time you have to be able to speak, but you still have to do it. For the love god and all things holy please do not get me started on the game requests.<br />

I miss the old Myspace. The one where I was introduced to HTML. I miss having that freedom. How do you even edit this? Anyone remember the bulletin board? The most annoying part is the scrolling. Sure lets take everything good and the world, and the way the internet has always been and change it. That won't confuse anyone. How often do you search for someone or something on social media sites? What were is the search bar? Oh ok, you just start typing, because that's how everything else works. I did manage to find my old profile. Not how I left it. It is disappointing, at best. Maybe I just hate change. It's me not you. </div>

<div>
I remember when Google+ first came out, I loved it! However, no one jumped on the bandwagon, and what good is social networking with no one to socialize with? Since I have been on it again, it just looks confusing. I am not an active user and probably missed some good and bad. Bare with me though.</div>

<div>
Google Hangouts is probably my favorite part of Google+. It would be so convenient if some of my classes were through Hangouts. Another thing that I liked about Google+ is that it looks like a google search and other Google products. It makes it somewhat easier to us. I have also found that the one of the most annoying things about Facebook is the game requests. That isn't on Google+ feed and notifications. I also like the circles. It makes it easier to pick and choose what I would want to share with who. Something that Facebook provides, but doesn't do it very well. </div>

What happened to the simplicity? I may not just get the ways and the trade of it. My whole thing is why would the link to your profile be in a drop down labeled home? Another thing is, the new feed sucks! I am just going to say that Twitter does it best. The newest content first the the oldest. I can not for the life of me understand why one needs two columns of feed. I don't know what to start with. </div>

I have good intentions, promise! It's about time I started doing this stuff. There are a bunch of sites that are basically nothing but DIY projects. Some examples are <a href="http://www.makeuseof.com/">MakeUseOf</a>, <a href="http://makezine.com/">Makezine</a>, <a href="http://lifehacker.com/">Lifehacker</a>, and <a href="http://www.instructables.com/">Instructables</a>. There are many more, but those four were the ones that I found to have more of the stuff I would be interested in. MakeUseOf is really shows you how to get the most out of certain products. I am going to kind of skip over it. However, I will be using it to help out with a few blogs that are coming! I have found quite a few things I would be interested in checking out, maybe eventually, I will find the motivation to do them.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Possibly my favorite thing to do during the summer is camping. However, I think it is more so the activities that take place during camping. I always take my cousins two kids with me when I go. They love being outside, fishing, playing, and basically running free. I would like to make them some cornhole boards. I think they would enjoy themselves playing. I meant to make them during the summer, but work got in the way. So right now it is put on the back burner.<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
The struggle is real when it comes to screws stripping. They always tend to make things a lot more difficult than what they need to be. Lifehacker makes some suggestions to attempt to make it a little easier in this article. While it will never be a walk in the park there are a few tricks that might lighten the situation. One of them is using a wide rubber band. You simply just put the rubber band over the screw head, and grab a larger screw driver. It will help gain some traction.<br />

Why not find some purposes for some old junk that will never have any other purpose. I found this and found it pretty amusing. I typically put the regular christmas tree up in the living room, but I also like to have some other crafty things throughout the house. Why not be festive with some old memory? All you need is a piece of pipe, some wood, and some floral foam. Plus a few tools and other old computer equipment like HD platters and processor socket to decorate with. </div>

<br /></div>
Since I have been a kid, my mom has been collecting a "village" of figures. There are houses, churches, skating rings, a hot air balloon, and many more. She always puts them on the bookcases that separates the tv room and the living room. Either the bookcases are getting smaller, or her collection has gotten too large. I personally believe it is the latter. Instructables has a tutorial for creating a village. You essentially just have to build a platform, cover it with cotton or white felt, and place your decorations.</div>

I remember when I got my first computer and was using the internet Xanga was the big thing to use. Everyone blogged about the details of their day, and posted different icons that they liked. You also had to have the right layout. Then things moved on and as Xanga faded MySpace came into play. I vaguely remember using both of these, even though it doesn't seem like it was all that long ago. The thing I remember the most about MySpace was surveys. All of them were pretty much the same with different wording. I did quite a few of them and posted them to the bulletin. Now Facebook has nearly phased out all of these. It is not a very common thing for someone my age to not use Facebook. It has grown as far as mom, dad, grandpa, and grandma are all involved. Through all of these sites we have posted potentially too much information about our day to day lives and personal information that most people shouldn't know about us. On my Facebook page, there is really more information than what most people need to know like where I work, where I go to school, where I live, and my birthday. I might as well put my social security number on there and call it a day. Why do we share so much information with people who are complete strangers? What makes it so appealing? How much is too much? Do sites like Facebook keep our information safe or who is it shared with? How many of your "friends" do you actually know?</div>

Social media sites are very useful whether it is for keeping up with what is going on in the world or reconnecting with old friends and staying connected. However, with every good thing there is bad. To the right there is several sets of data showing what type of information these sites are asking for. This data shows that a lot of this information shared can lead to identity theft, physical harm, imperfect reputation, and many other things. The only thing short of a criminal being able to steal your identity is providing them with a social security number. They have your name, your birthday, where you live, what your phone number is, where you work, and so on and so forth. You can also put yourself in some serious physical harm. Nearly everyone takes a vacation at some point during the year. It seems like everyone is remotely fond of sharing their experience with family and friends. However, if you post on Facebook and tell the world that you are going out of town, everyone knows where you are, and that you are not home. Your home could be robbed. Even worse, someone could find you are do some physical and emotional damage to you. Say you went to an awesome party tonight and drank a little too much and posted those pictures. A month later you have a interview for the job of your dreams and their is only one other candidate. The interview went great, and you are very hopeful. Now the interviewer researches you a little bit and sees all of these pictures. The other person has a clean slate, nothing stupid posted all over Facebook and Twitter. Who would you hire? Your reputation is shot, and said job is lost. Many times that not we do not think about these type of things. We are to trusting with who we are sharing our information with on the internet.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KvnD_VL9iQI/Uou816EVPZI/AAAAAAAAAQ4/5sGzRaAhUtE/s1600/facebook-breakups-7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="206" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KvnD_VL9iQI/Uou816EVPZI/AAAAAAAAAQ4/5sGzRaAhUtE/s320/facebook-breakups-7.jpg" width="320" /></a>Our relationships also take a pretty big hit to social media. You have to make your relationships "Facebook official." How many relationships come to a demise due to social media? As you can see, to the right, you may not want to broadcast that you could possibly have herpes, just saying. But why do we put the people who we care about, or anyone in general on blast on Facebook? Social media can bring the world together and do many great things. With everything good, there comes bad. Facebook creates the monster known as jealousy on an extreme level. With questions that have assumed answers can create a lot of unwanted issues, known as the end of your relationship. Granted that his isn't Facebook's fault. It is just another example of why you shouldn't post every detail of your day and life. It isn't only romantic relationships either. They can affect your friends and work relationships as well. I saw a picture on Facebook where a girl had forgotten she added her boss. Needless to say she posted this big spill about how she hated her boss and thought he was perverted and arrogant. Also that he made her do stuff just to piss her off. He commented back telling her not to flatter herself, that he was gay. Also that those tasks were her job, and even the simplest she couldn't do right. Then proceeded with telling her to come get her remaining belongings from the office. While that may of not been the most professional way to handle things, she ruined a work relationship and lost her job.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TsOIsa4efzQ/Uou9a_HRgMI/AAAAAAAAARA/Jl1gRPvtn8U/s1600/facebook-breakups-3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TsOIsa4efzQ/Uou9a_HRgMI/AAAAAAAAARA/Jl1gRPvtn8U/s320/facebook-breakups-3.jpg" /></a></div>
Not all Facebook relationships can be ruined. There are also many positives like keeping up with your college roommate, a family member who lives far away, and for other things. We just have to take care of what we post. Also learn that assuming makes an ass out of you and me.<br />
<br />
Social media can be the best of tools to utilize, but also the worst. I think I have made that somewhat redundant. Regardless, if we watch what we post. We shouldn't give out so much information that could harm our futures. A job is an essential part of life. You have to work to have the things that we want and be able to live. If you go out and do stupid stuff and post it on Facebook you are going to look like an unacceptable contribution to society, therefore no jobs. Also protect yourself by not posting important information about your personal life. Vacation pictures can wait until you get home to be uploaded. Don't cause yourself more problems then you already have!<br />

<a href="http://www.photoshop.com/tools">Photoshop Express Online</a></h2>
<div>
Photoshop Express Online is a good alternative for minor changes to a photo. Maybe if something needs to be brightened up a little bit, or a little editing. While it is nothing compared to the actual Photoshop program, it is a helpful tool to use. It includes a few of the same features that is also included in a Photoshop license. Such as the burn and dodge tool. The photo below on the left is the original photo that I found on Google. I used the burn tool to bring out the colors on the same photo to the right. As you can see the the grass sky is a brighter blue, and there is more detail in the leaves. If you only need a photo editing tool to make some minor changes, this is a great tool that is free, and you don't have to download anything. There is also no registration required.<br />
<br />

<h2>
<a href="http://www.picmonkey.com/">PicMonkey</a></h2>
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QQPp88jlhMI/Umbe-90GOrI/AAAAAAAAAP8/aJg5mmjPAkQ/s1600/bruce+wayne+zombie.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QQPp88jlhMI/Umbe-90GOrI/AAAAAAAAAP8/aJg5mmjPAkQ/s320/bruce+wayne+zombie.jpg" width="252" /></a>PicMonkey has some pretty cool features that are seasonal. This is the month of October, and there are all kinds of spooky things going on. PicMonkey allows you to make yourself into a zombie, vampire, demon and numerous other themes related to Halloween. As you can see to the right, I used PicMonkey to turn Bruce Wayne into a zombie. Among many other features that are unrelated to the time of year. This include things such as a blemish remover and teeth whitener. You can also add eye make up such as eye liner and eye shadow. There is even a weight loss tool. What more can you ask for?<br />
<br />
There is a downfall to PicMonkey, all of its features are not free. Many of the really cool effects you must pay for. For a premium package it is either $4.99 a month or $33.00 for a year. Is it worth it? I probably wouldn't by a subscription, but it does have some handy features to play with.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

BeFunky is a cool website. To me it pretty much seemed like photo editing for dummies. There are many things that you can do. I choose to use the sample photo they offered it is to the left. It put me in mind of an old diner. I decided to give it a vintage look to make it look like an old photo. The second option in the photo edit that looks like a wand gives you an abundance of effects the choose from. I choose one from "Old Photo." I then choose a frame from the instant menu. Lastly I choose a texture, which is the last choose on the task bar, to make it look scratched up. and below was my results. I am impressed with what all was offered without evening have to sign up for an account.<br />

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XFwg7IohoRs/UlynlQiO4GI/AAAAAAAAAOs/TAbwUJPEABw/s1600/google.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="107" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XFwg7IohoRs/UlynlQiO4GI/AAAAAAAAAOs/TAbwUJPEABw/s400/google.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
Fifteen years, one month, and some odd days since Google's "official birthday." How many days do you go without Google-ing something? How often do you check your Gmail account? Do you ever use YouTube? Are Google Maps essential to your travels? If it weren't for Google you wouldn't be utilizing any of these helpful tools and many more not mentioned, including reading this blog. Google has a mass impact on our lives daily. I can't think of a day I do not use at least one product powered by Google. How did Google manage to change our lives, the internet, and the way we think?<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Technology should benefit you, not distract you:" height="400" src="http://s3-ec.buzzfed.com/static/enhanced/webdr01/2012/11/8/16/enhanced-buzz-1396-1352409469-5.jpg" width="300" /></blockquote>
The other day I was talking to a friend about writing this blog for class, and she told me about the quote above from Boy Meets World. It made me really think about how Google really has changed the was we live. If you hand me a dictionary or an encyclopedia, I can use it. Anyone with some common sense should be able to. However, why should I look up what a word means in a dictionary when I can type it into a search bar? I can cut the time taken to find the word in half the time. A book is more than less a waste of time if we utilize the technologies in front of use in the right way. You don't even know how to spell it properly and Google can still find it!<br />
<br />
This also leads me to another thought. Many of us take for granted the technologies and conveniences Google has laid in front of us. Imagine it taking six months thirsty for just ONE book. It took Google 0.28 seconds to find that quote above for me. To me that is completely mind blowing. I wonder how long it takes the average person to sit down and look something up in an encyclopedia or dictionary. More than likely more time than someone would be willing to give. I think it is amazing.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qXKTue9R8Uo/UlyooScqQ-I/AAAAAAAAAO4/srKDVJeZH6I/s1600/google+search+time.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="75" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qXKTue9R8Uo/UlyooScqQ-I/AAAAAAAAAO4/srKDVJeZH6I/s320/google+search+time.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I have heard many older people use the phrase, "It's a small world." In all reality, the world isn't so small with over 7 billion people. What makes the world so small? One thing I know that has made the world smaller is YoutTube. There is an limitless amount of videos on YouTube which will teach you about and how to do nearly anything. At one point you could read for days about how someone lived, or maybe go to lessons and learn how to play an instrument. What would be better than hearing about a culture and all involved than coming directly from that person experiencing it everyday. With YouTube you can also get that guitar lesson for free. YouTube is good for recreational purposes. There is also so much knowledge to be gained through many of the resources offered to you from Google!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PKhglCU2Vy0/UlyptvCWMKI/AAAAAAAAAPE/VK_mXecTmYY/s1600/youtube+stats.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="126" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PKhglCU2Vy0/UlyptvCWMKI/AAAAAAAAAPE/VK_mXecTmYY/s320/youtube+stats.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
There isn't a thing in the world that is better than a family vacation where you almost make it there but not quite. You can't quite make it there because you have the navigator in the passenger seat who can't read the over-sized map, or the driver who is refusing to stop and ask for directions. Imagine a world where there are written directions provided including any planned stops. Also including traffic and weather. Tell me how Google Maps haven't changed the was we travel. I never leave the house when I do not know where I am going without Google Maps.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3PcEgqI1Yuk/UlyqjThS_5I/AAAAAAAAAPQ/UxmFUtLbM_A/s1600/google+map.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="141" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3PcEgqI1Yuk/UlyqjThS_5I/AAAAAAAAAPQ/UxmFUtLbM_A/s320/google+map.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Google to me is essential to everyday life. There is so much offered on the web and Google helps you utilize it all. You need Google for nearly everything you do. Searching, communicating, learning, watching, entertaining, and many more features. It is unlimited. Think about it every time you search on Google, and be thankful for what all is offered to you, so quickly and free of use. Google is amazing it what it has given us, utilize it every way possible.Reluctant Squiblehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17584421673940799932noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-804439703000550892.post-83668695249249430322013-10-10T18:16:00.000-04:002013-10-15T13:58:30.060-04:00Image Hosting: 4 Images, 4 SitesWho can't use somewhere to stash all of their images? Only a few years ago I used this site more than any other one. It is a great tool. Since I have been back on it, it seems like a lot has changed. Still yet is is somewhat handy. I like how you can click on the photo and everything you need is right there. If you want to share it in an email all you have to do is click it, and it automatically copies a link for you to the photo. What is really useful is that it also provides you with the html code you need to post on Blogger or somewhere else similar. Which is what I did with the image on the left.<br />

I have never used Flickr before today, but there is one thing that really annoys me about it. How photos can be shared. It is easy, but it isn't really all that easy to find. There is a "share" button where you can share to Facebook, email, and a few other social networking websites. You can also click that symbol to get the HTML or the link to the photo. I grabbed the HTML and put it below<br />

Drop Box</h3>
Dropbox's user interface kind of sucks. It is difficult to figure out how to enable public preview. It would most definitely be my last choice out of all of the above. Not to mention only having 2GB of storage isn't cool either. It is currently hosting that pie I made a few months ago. While it looked good, it wasn't by any means.<br />

ImageShack was never my first choice back in the day when I was still using Photobucket. As Photobucket, I haven't visited ImageShack in a long time so maybe there is some positive changes. The user interface looks nearly identical to what I saw several years ago. It is kind of disappointing that it has changed very little. It seems that Photobucket has improved in great strides in comparison with ImageShack. Sharing pictures is really easy which does make it more convenient than the other choices. You just upload it and it takes you directly to the HTML and links.</div>

As you can guess this is a blog about some sort of software. However, this isn't about your regular overly priced software. This is FREE!! What is better than that? I am going to introduce to you a few free software products that are pretty useful to me. So lets get started!<br />
<br />
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
Tweet Deck</h3>
<div>
So to start off I am really not all that big of a fan of twitter. I like the idea, I just feel like the user interface sucks. That being said, that's why I never really use my account anymore than occasionally. I think I may have found away to possibly make me enjoy Twitter a little more. This is because of Tweet Deck.</div>
<div>
<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Hk1bGZn_DUE/UlYSK5hC_wI/AAAAAAAAAN8/gHxuIiuY4EI/s1600/tweet+deck.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="182" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Hk1bGZn_DUE/UlYSK5hC_wI/AAAAAAAAAN8/gHxuIiuY4EI/s320/tweet+deck.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Why can Tweet Deck make Twitter better? I like it just because everything is there in one screen. I can see what is going on in the timeline feed on the left. In the middle, I can see conversations I am having with other people. Lastly, on the right I can see what others are doing. Twitter still is not by any means my favorite still yet, but this is an improvement to it. </div>

µTorrent</h3>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
uTorrent is essentially peer-2-peer downloading client, in which you can download large files. It works by others seeding the files. When using bittorrents you are basically downloading different parts of the file from different people. Now the question is why use uTorrent over another p2p clients? It downloads large files in no time. Also, it is very small, hence the µ, which means micro- in Greek. It doesn't offer a pretty user interface or internal search such as a bittorrent program like Vuze. It comes down to what is more important to you. </div>

The PC Decrapifier</h3>
<div>
Best thing since sliced bread, almost. I have been meaning to uninstall a bunch of crap that I never use for quite some time now. When is a better time than now? The PC Decrapifier makes it so easy. All I had to do was select what I wanted to uninstall and click next. It did the majority of the work for me. Beautiful! I now have no reason to be so damn lazy. </div>

<div>
The visuals of your blog look good. The background isn't distracting from the content at all. Your photos look good as well. It looks like you are really utilizing Skitch! The only thing I really don't like is your blog's title, "Computers." That makes me not want to read any further, because it's a boring title. </div>

<div>
That font color and font style is somewhat hard to read. It may just be the color but it looks odd. Paragraphs (multiple) rather than a paragraph will do a world of wonders as well. The image background is a good picture. I'm not really sure what is going on with your sidebars either. </div>

You do a really good job writing. However, the orange font is a little too much for my eyes. The size of it is also too big, almost the same size as your blogs title. You did a really good job with your pictures, but I think their might be too many. They are also huge. I feel like I am scrolling through pictures trying to find some text.<br />

Save a horse, ride a turtle? I like it. The three pictures I see on your blog are good. They add a not so serious feel of things. You should consider adding a few more. Other than that things look good. Best heading I have seen thus far.<br />

You have some really great pictures, but you might want to consider not putting them so close together. It messes with some of the text. In your "Open Office or Libre?" blog, you have two different font sizes. Things look good though, great job!<br />

<b><span style="font-size: large;">Scotty</span></b><b style="font-size: x-large;"> </b><span style="font-size: x-small;">( <a href="http://thephoenixhub.blogspot.com/">http://thephoenixhub.blogspot.com</a> )</span><br />
The blog looks really good. The colors aren't too much and good pictures. There are a few minor things that need fixed. For example, the text in the guest blog with the text background color, and the picture width in your gmail blog is too wide. Things look good.<br />

Your colors flow well together. The calender looks somewhat out of place though. The pictures are great, and the blogs are well written. There is something funky going on with the guest blog though. The third extension has a white text background and black text. It matches nothing else on the blog. As a friend, I will add that you suck, not your blog. : )<br />

You still aren't on the Evernote Email and Blog Links. I don't think that is your fault though. Anyways, on to the blog critique. Looks like you are doing a great job, it looks and reads good. I like that you also took screen shops of the apps in the Evernote and Springpad blog. Good job.<br />

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--7ySk1V_2d4/Uk2fE51AXdI/AAAAAAAAAI0/Q71mMmlteCI/s1600/skitch+a.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="215" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--7ySk1V_2d4/Uk2fE51AXdI/AAAAAAAAAI0/Q71mMmlteCI/s320/skitch+a.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I have never used either Open Office or Libre Office, but my first impression when I opened them both was essentially what is the difference? Both of them look nearly identical at start up. So why choose one over the other? They both have the same applications and options with different icons, which are as well similar, to represent them. There purpose in life is to be a much, much cheaper alternative to Microsoft Office which is free. The Text Document, Spreadsheet, Presentation, and Database are all pretty well the same as in an older version of Microsoft Office. However, there is two different application that I wanted to check out: Drawing and Formula.<br />
<br />
<h2>
Text Document</h2>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rKX5fm6u0g8/Uk2m8nFMr8I/AAAAAAAAAJY/8UWLQxlS7iY/s1600/skitch+a.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rKX5fm6u0g8/Uk2m8nFMr8I/AAAAAAAAAJY/8UWLQxlS7iY/s320/skitch+a.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As you can see both are pretty much the same. Because of this it is hard for me to choose which one I would prefer to use. Actually, I would prefer to use Microsoft Office just because of the familiarity with the newer lines of programs. But for a free product, these are pretty good.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<h2>
Spreadsheet</h2>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WPmuvqb89vY/Uk2oBWdko4I/AAAAAAAAAJk/u1NEVlwWeDc/s1600/skitch+b.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WPmuvqb89vY/Uk2oBWdko4I/AAAAAAAAAJk/u1NEVlwWeDc/s320/skitch+b.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I actually like the Spreadsheet application in these two programs better than Excel in Microsoft office. There is less features which makes it easy to use for me. I don't really think of any instances when I need anything fancy for a spreadsheet. Sometimes simple is better.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<h2>
Presentation</h2>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nNijOGfErGQ/Uk2pyXJpPTI/AAAAAAAAAJw/34rmCqOAdXI/s1600/skitch+c.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nNijOGfErGQ/Uk2pyXJpPTI/AAAAAAAAAJw/34rmCqOAdXI/s320/skitch+c.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There are some minor differences in the two presentation applications. You have a few different opens that are more convention to get to in the side bar on the right. Still yet, they both are again simple to use and free so who can complain?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<hr />
<br />
<div>
Those are the three main applications that I have used in the previous years, only I used them in Microsoft Office. They did add two application that is not included in Microsoft Office called Drawing and Formula. From what I can understand Drawing is basically what it says a drawing tool, and Formula is essentially a math tool. I haven't had a chance to play with either, but they could be useful. Two extra applications for free, I'll take that. All in all, if you can't get your hands on a copy of Microsoft Office, either one of these would be a great alternative.</div>

<img height="320" src="http://25.media.tumblr.com/4a1faa069ffb6a917b525980190b5f6c/tumblr_mhrn0xQJtZ1qda670o1_400.jpg" width="320" /><br />
<br /></div>
Lately we have been using two digital notebooks called Evernote and Springpad. I'm sure most have heard of both programs. There is an on going discussion on which is more efficient to use. They both have some characteristics that make them run quite closely too each other. Evernote being more popular and widely used than Springpad, will it fall off to the opposition? I doubt things being that serious, but personally I would choose Springpad over Evernote any day. As this carries on, I will explain why the visuals and the notebooks make this decision for me.<br />
<br />

<div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
Anyone can log into both programs and see that Springpad is so much "prettier" than Evernote. Why does that really matter though? One big reason is what is called a notebook actually looks like a notebook rather than having a similar layout to opening up Windows Explorer like Evernote does. To me this makes things look less confusing and more so organized. While I was reading about both programs I saw something that said something that said the Evernote was essentially the equivalent of a junk drawer only digital. One thing I really did like about Springpad is that it was somewhat similar to Pinterest. I use Pinterest quite frequently to stash all of the stuff that I want to do, but in reality I will never do because I am too lazy. Maybe that is what really sold me on Springpad as far as the way it looks. Evernote is just so plain. I also find that Springpad is more so similar to social networking, in the way it looks and its features. You can comment in public and private sharing, view what others have done, and spring it which saves it to your notebook. The apps for Springpad are almost identical to the web version as well. At least, for the ones I used on my iPad and Android phone.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The uses of notebooks in Springpad also go so much further than those in Evernote. When you create a new note there are numerous templates you have to choose from. They recipes, movies, music, books, checklists, tasks, and many more. However, with Evernote it is pretty cut and dry. The image below shows what you get when you click "new note" in Evernote.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
Another really great thing about Springpad is the collaboration features offered. This is completely FREE unlike Evernote's collaborations options. In order to collaborate in Evernote you must have a paid subscription. Otherwise, your notes on Evernote can only be shared in a read-only format. Also, Springpad's collaboration is super easy to use. There is a link that you can give to other users or you can share it to Facebook if you want it to be on a more public scale. To make it more so of a private collaboration you can invite people via email.<br />

Don't get me wrong, Evernote is a GREAT resource. There are quite a few things I enjoy about it over Springpad. One thing that I really wish Springpad offered is a offline desktop client. Most of the places I go, I do not have internet access. So I can post a new spring if I happen to be in one of those places. Evernote does offer this along with quite a few other things. One of these other resources is called Skitch. It more so allows you to take screenshots from within the program that you download, and can add text, arrows, circle things, highlight things, and a few other options. In fact most of all the images in this blog I created in Skitch. Evernote is also idea for students. It is phenomenal for note taking, which is important to every college student.<br />

I believe it would be easier for me to use Springpad over Evernote for most things, however, both are very useful and great products. Tell me what you think about them!Reluctant Squiblehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17584421673940799932noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-804439703000550892.post-16513744197066580132013-09-24T14:13:00.001-04:002013-10-02T00:06:57.889-04:00Using Camtasia: How to Create a Gmail Account<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Last week our assignment in class was to create a "How To" using the on screen recording program called Camtasia. This is pretty rough being my first time using it. However, it is a pretty cool tool and has plenty of features. With a 30-day free trial, it is fun and worth checking into.</div>

These are the one's to pique my interest:</span></span> </blockquote>

<a href="http://www.metalinsider.net/site/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Pandora-logo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://www.metalinsider.net/site/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Pandora-logo.jpg" width="200" /></a><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">1. Pandora: I like to use Pandora for when I have writing to be done and I need something nice to listen to. This app provides me the ability to instant start listening to tracks from my Pandora. Saves me the effort of searching for the site. It's a minor app; namely one the someone could live without, but even the most minor of efforts are great strides for someone as horribly lazy as I.</span></span> </blockquote>

<blockquote class="tr_bq">
<a href="http://evernote.com/media/img/web_clipper_140x140.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://evernote.com/media/img/web_clipper_140x140.png" /></a><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">2. Evernote Web Clipper: I use this to get articles, pictures, or just reminders on what to look at often. With Evernote Web Clipper with a press of a button you can instantly save a page, article or picture to your Evernote for future reference. This is really only useful for those people who often save Word documents, or something like it, just to remember various pages, pictures or articles they had come across over their Internet searches. It's more useful than it sounds, as it is useful more by each different person and perspective.</span></span></blockquote>

Ad Block: Ad Block is probably the most pivotal app for generally everyone. No one likes ads and no one cares what they have to say. With Ad Block you can block all the ads off of the pages and precede in your Internet shenanigans with no problems. This is especially useful for slower Internet connections where it takes more time to load a page due to the ads, but with Ad Block, even the slowest of Internet connections can become manageable with Ad Block. Not to mention how much faster an already fast Internet connections could become.</span></span> </blockquote>

Weather Channel: This is the app I use the least often, as weather is usually my last concern, but it is still useful, especially for days where you plan on being outside. It shows you the forecast for the current day and a few days afterward, so it becomes much easier to plan out your days or what days you should be concerned on when driving. It's situation and I don't believe you would need it everyday, but it is still useful when you decide to take a look, even though, just like news weather, it is possible that the forecast could very well be incorrect, so take everything with a grain of salt.</span></span></blockquote>

<img height="190" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.switched.com/media/2010/07/2010.07.19chr.jpg" width="400" /></div>
Recently in class we have been taking a look into Google's PlayStore and what type of extensions they have to offer. The assignment this week was to find four extensions that we really liked. I have downloaded many in attempt to pick my favorites. It seems I have been successful.<br />
<br />
<br />
<h2>
Netflix Rate</h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www6.pcmag.com/media/images/375798-netflix-logo.jpg?thumb=y" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://www6.pcmag.com/media/images/375798-netflix-logo.jpg?thumb=y" width="200" /></a></div>
I have found Netflix Rate to be useful because I am frequently using Netflix to find something new to watch. So, if you are like me and find cable near to useless, this is a good tool to utilize. I have found on more than one occasions than not Netflix's ratings do not really work all that well for me. When you download the Netflix Rate extension, Netflix not only displays it's ratings but also those of IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. I think it is awesome, when I am looking for something new to watch, I get not only one but three sources of what people thought of it in one convenient location.</div>
<br />
<h2>
YouTube Auto Wide</h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BaejWNpYDWE/UovdqQuNFgI/AAAAAAAAARo/PiMHA5KyG54/s1600/youtube.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BaejWNpYDWE/UovdqQuNFgI/AAAAAAAAARo/PiMHA5KyG54/s200/youtube.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
Almost every time I get on YouTube I find myself annoyed with the videos. The first thing I always do is choose the wide setting on whichever video I have chosen to watch. The YouTube Auto Wide extension has made it to where all of the videos that I click to watch are already preset to be wide. While it is not all that big of a deal for me to change the setting myself. It is nice for it to already be there. Convenience is something I enjoy. Why not take the easiest way possible?<br />
<br />
<h2>
Black Menu For Google</h2>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-x66S1mmLk6U/UksaJXlI02I/AAAAAAAAAG8/uW7G8LSil3k/s1600/skitch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="176" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-x66S1mmLk6U/UksaJXlI02I/AAAAAAAAAG8/uW7G8LSil3k/s200/skitch.jpg" width="200" /></a>Have you ever been on Facebook or some other website and think, hey, I need to check G-Mail, need to Google something, or want to know where something is located on the map? Well if that is the case Black Menu is awesome. It provides you with a list of various Google services without having to waste the time going to Google's website. After seeing various things, I typically want to search for them to learn more about them. If I see a location or venue I also always want to know how far away it is or where it exactly it is. For those reasons, I do not see how I survived without it before discovering this extension.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<h2>
Sexy Undo Close Tab</h2>
<div>
I do not know about anyone else but I am always closing the wrong damn tabs. I find it pretty annoying, but I have always been a klutz like that. At one point the only thing I could do is move and and get pissed off because I have no idea what I just closed. That has all came to an end recently since I can now restore previously closed tabs with this extension. It is another one of those that I am just like how did I survive without you type of deals. At least I no longer have to mess up nearly everything I work on. </div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a href="http://cdn.macrumors.com/article-new/2011/12/skitchicon-150x151.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://cdn.macrumors.com/article-new/2011/12/skitchicon-150x151.jpg" /></a>Evernote can be very useful for someone like myself who hates losing things. When we started using Evernote in class I thought, "Nah, I probably will never use this for anything but class." However, the more I have started using it for class, I have found many other uses for it. I like to search and look for various things, and I used to just bookmark something that I liked. Since my use of Evernote, I now just clip the entire page using the web clipper to save parts for my car, a car I might want to purchase in the near future, or various computers and components I want. It is much handier than what I expected. Now I am questioning how else I can utilize Evernote.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://dribbble.s3.amazonaws.com/users/401390/screenshots/1236376/evernote-web-clipper.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://dribbble.s3.amazonaws.com/users/401390/screenshots/1236376/evernote-web-clipper.png" width="200" /></a>Evernote is a very useful tool, but what all can one do with it is the question. Evernote has an entire section on their site entitled <a href="http://blog.evernote.com/blog/category/tips-guides/">tips + guides</a>. For a foot ball fan, it shows you how you can achieve fantasy football glory using Evernote. There are also guides for college success, event planning, and even food. With the guides and maybe a little thought and creativity, you can create pretty much anything and share it with anyone. Evernote is a pretty cool source, and I will definitely continue my usage of it hopefully beyond what I am doing with it now.<br />

Google has more resources than a lot of people know about or use. Gmail I would thing would be one of the more popular ones. I have used Gmail for more years than not. I find that is is much more efficient than using Hotmail or Yahoo mail for the reasoning of not seeing a spam email once in the time I have used it and the massive amount of storage I am aloud to keep. I really enjoy the fact that with my gmail account I have access to YouTube and Google Drive. There isn't really much that I do not like about gmail. It is very simple to use. Google has really hit the nail on the head by this program.Its ease of use and options that is offered is unbeatable.<br />

Hello, if you didn't already know or couldn't tell, my name is Allyson. I was born and raised in Logan, West Virginia. I spend the majority of my time at work. I am a cashier at a gas station. It has its good and bad days. Hopefully, I will get a degree and get a better job in the near future. I hope to achieve a degree in Information Technology. I also love spending time with my cousins two sweet little boys. The oldest is a few months shy of being 5 years old, and the youngest is, also, a few months shy of 3 years old. They are possibly the meanest and sweetest two children I have ever met. My Xbox and my car are more than likely my two most prized possessions. Even though at times I would like both of them to be totaled. Even though my time is limited, I also thoroughly enjoy softball and basketball. I play both as a kid, and also played some in high school. Lately all I get to be involved in is watching them on TV. That is pretty much all their is to my boring yet blessed life.<br />
